


The SHADERSOURCE – Waterfall Tool 2 adds an Editor Mode to create realistic-looking waterfalls. Drag and drop a Waterfall Actor into a level and use the buttons in the Editor Mode to generate fluid paths, meshes, and VFX. [Released August 2024]
My Contribution
- Designed, concepted, and created the whole Waterfall Tool 2 using a number of online references as an initial guide.
- Created the system for spline generation based on “faked” physics over editor tick.
- Implemented SHADERSOURCE naming convention and coding standards.
- Added SHADERSOURCE header and branding to tool including SHADERSOURCE menu.
- Designed and implemented the Editor Mode UI/UX.
- Wrote the majority of documentation for the Waterfall Tool 2.
- Implemented the Bake to Static Mesh functionality for optimisation.
- Created Waterfall 2 Actor and integrated with runtime and editor-only functionality.
- Implemented VFX and SFX tab for easy particles and sounds added to spline points.
