Personal Projects

Throughout the course of my study, employment in retail, and other jobs, I’ve always expanded my knowledge of both Unreal Engine and coding through ongoing personal projects. These projects generally don’t see completion due to both time and other priorities or interests arising, but each one of them have come with a unique set of lessons for me that’s helped shape me into the awesome programmer I am today!

2023-2025

The main project I worked on during this period was:

  • Osero Suite – Aim: To experiment with creating my own UE Marketplace (now Fab) brand and learn from challenges running it.

2020

The main projects I worked on up until my employment with Glitch Productions in July 2020 were:

  • “Advanced Project Timer” Project – Aim: To build an executable using Unreal Engine 4 that can track project time for purposes of invoicing during contract work.)
  • Enigma Machine – Aim: To build a simulation of an Enigma Machine from scratch, using C#, in order to keep my skills up in a second programming language other than C++. This project led to my short project challenges that I then began to set myself.
  • Gallery Project – Aim: To build an interactive gallery in UE4 as a birthday/anniversary present for my girlfriend.

2019

The main projects I worked in 2019 were:

  • Crowd Generation Tool: Aim: To build a tool for Unreal Engine 4 that can spawn NPC units in a way that simulates a crowd, and to release this asset to the UE4 Marketplace.
  • Real Time Strategy Game: Aim: To build a Real Time Strategy Game from scratch, using C#, in order to keep my skills up in a second programming language other than C++.
